Xbox 360 Arcade
The Xbox 360 Arcade is the basic Xbox 360 console, but without some of the extras that the higher specified Xbox 360 Elite ships with. The main differences are the case: a creamy off white plastic case, as opposed to the Elite’s dark grey/black casing. No hard disk included, and no HDMI cable (but the HDMI port is there).
Externally, the higher specced 360s have always come with a shiny chrome DVD tray door, whereas the Arcade has a plain white plastic tray door.
Hard disks can be bought separately, so you can bring your 360 up to a higher spec, and you can always shell out for the HDMI cable – they aren’t that expensive. Remember that the Xbox 360 can output over composite anyway, if you don’t want to use HDMI.
The Xbox 360 is a great entry level console that can be upgraded and will play all of the same games as any other Xbox 360.
