Nokia Booklet 3G
Nokia caused a bit of a stir when they announced their mini 3g laptop, and for good reason. It’s a feature laden Netbook, with an Atom Z530 powering the machine, with 1GB RAM and 120GB hard drive to help along. The display is 10.1″ with a nice 720p (1280×720) display, so good for HD video.
The battery life sounds pretty good as well, up to 12 hours of service available. Real world tests will be the decider there, however…
With 802.11 b,g & n wireless, Bluetooth 2.1 and a built in 3G modem, this Netbook will jump to the top of the list for many mobile computing fans, and rightly so. But don’t expect it to be as cheap as other Netbooks, with an estimated £500 price tag before subsidies.
Don’t expect any details imminently, as the machine will ship with Windows 7, but Nokia and Microsoft may be able to scratch others’ backs with a launch on the same day.
